I recently did my first proper conference talk at /dev/world 2015 in Melbourne, Australia. In New Zealand, students are encouraged to use a text based programming language in their final two years of high school to complete their units of work. The popular choices are Python and JavaScript. This session looks at Swift as a possible option and evaluates it as an introductory programming language.
